DeviDoll does Centre Court fashion, Wimbledon style

Wimbledon is underway, a favourite event here at DeviDoll. Glamorous every year - all that champagne, all those strawberries, and what buff bronzed thighs! - this year's tournament is turning out more style than Fashion Week.

And it's not just the beautiful Wimbledon wives and girlfriends in the crowd who are showing up sporting their best fashion-forward togs. The players are too.

Roger Federer's fashion sense has been dazzling tennis and fashion fans alike. His Eighties-esque military-style gold-trimmed jacket, trousers and bag made the headlines this week, while Serena Williams's choice of white trench jacket caused quite a stir amongst fashionistas too.

Well, we love nothing more than a spot of summer glamour at DeviDoll, so we've picked our selection of white and gold must-have items for the summer, inspired by tennis's grandest tournament. Treat yourself whether you're planning a trip to Centre Court this year or are tuning in from home.

We recommend reclining on a sun-lounger in the garden with a Pimm's in one hand and the radio tuned in to the match coverage - much more glamorous than slumping infront of the box. You can shop while you listen too; surely that's game, set and match to you!

Our Top Five Picks For Wimbledon Glamour

1. Doie Venice dress (pictured above), £90
A sporty-chic dress in a buttery soft, organic cotton jersey. Just the right mix of fun and sexiness with its elasticated, bubble-effect hemline, halterneck and racerback.

2. Del Forte Calla white jeans, £84 reduced from £134
A Del Forte cult favourite, this is the classic sexy jean - low-rise and skinny - in bright white for summer. Grab a floral or neon bright top, pick a contrasting clutch, put on some killer heels and you simply cannot go wrong.

3. Deborah Lindquist bubble sleeve T-shirt in cream, £50.40, reduced from £72
A buttery soft cotton tee with personality - wide boat neck and pretty bubble-hem sleeves. Casual chic at its best.

4. Moonrise Ipanema earrings, £72, reduced from £104
Brazilian amethyst with 24k gold-plated earwires and chain. Handmade using fair trade gems and metals and all natural stone.

5. La Vie Devant Soie organza scarf in gold, £26 reduced from £38
Add oomph to any summer outfit with this gold silk organza scarf. Can be worn in a variety of ways or even just jauntily tied to your daybag. Roger Federer will be ordering one soon!

Supermodel Petra Nemcova shops for Summer 09 at DeviDoll

We're absolutely thrilled at DeviDoll to count the very beautiful supermodel and philanthropist Petra Nemcova amongst our lovely customers. Petra checked in just this week to replenish her summer wardrobe.

Petra, founder of the Happy Hearts Fund for disadvantaged children, is passionate about shopping ethically and of course, as a model, she is very fashion-aware. She shared with us the difficulty she sometimes has finding style-led ethical clothing: "I'm trying to buy all of my new clothes from eco / ethical brands, but it's not always easy! I'm happy to have found DeviDoll."

The Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret model chose our best-selling Doie Zuma top, in black and blush pink, and a sophisticated pair of black Fin cigarette trousers. She's made great choices!

Doie is a relaxed girl-about-town collection by Los Angeles-based designer Sara Kirsner. Designed and made in L.A., Sara focuses on ethical super-fabrics, including bamboo jersey, organic cotton and organic wool. You can see the whole Doie collection available at DeviDoll here.

Petra's Doie Zuma top is an easy to wear piece in organic cotton jersey, with ruched detailing at the neck and fold-over sleeves. It falls to just above the hips and is a very slight A-line cut, so you don't need a Victoria's Secret-calibre body like Petra's to wear it. Phew! What's more, you don't need a supermodel's salary to buy one either. At £62, this summer wardrobe staple is a great buy.

We think Petra's choice of Fin cigarette trousers, currently reduced to £91 from £130, is just perfect for her. Fin, another best-selling range at DeviDoll, represents wonderfully simple, sophisticated Scandinavian design. See our entire Fin range here - many items at discounted prices.

A fantastic day-to-evening trouser, the Fin cigarette pant is a straight cut and slim leg in a crisp organic, fair-trade cotton. They are cut slightly higher at the back, which makes them very flattering. Not that Petra needs the help!

Petra founded The Happy Hearts Fund after she survived the 2004 Tsunami, by clinging on to the top of a palm tree. Tragically, her fiance died in the Tsunami. Last year she also visited Peru to help support the victims of the 2007 Peru earthquake. Well done, Petra, and thank you for choosing DeviDoll.

VOGUE SAYS MODERN TRIBAL TREND WILL BE SUMMER HOTTIE

We're excited to see that international style bible Vogue has caught up with us here at DeviDoll in highlighting the modernised graphic tribal print as a top trend for Summer 09.

The current issue of Vogue dedicates a full page to what it's calling a minimalist take on maximalism, or in other words, a more subtle, wearable and urban version of full-blown tribal patterns. We spotted that star of the season during our trend-scouting six months ago.

While the cold weather was biting, we DeviDoll stylespotters were gloriously indulging in the most gorgeous summer dresses, tops and swimwear, picking out the perfect ethical pieces for effortless and sophisticated summer style.

Vogue is calling this fashion story a "vital burst of colour and exoticism for those of us dwelling in colder climes". We absolutely agree!

This Mociun Caravan tie-front dress, one of several on-trend Mociun items to choose from right now in our dresses section, is a perfect piece. The 'Caravan' print is in the season's boldest colours, and it can be easily accessorised for day or evening. In fact, it would work wonderfully for a summer wedding.

Caitlin Mociun, designer and founder of the label, uses her imagination not just in fabric prints, garment patterns and silhouettes but in the sustainable materials she uses – yak, hemp and organic cotton.
